Stock for an older Ruger ?

A recent acquisition has me wondering if replacement stocks are still available for older 77s.
Mine is a beautiful tang safety '76 vintage 257 Roberts and shoots too well to leave in the safe, but I'd like to pare a pound or so off the weight.
I'm thinking about a lighter synthetic stock... any ideas or suggestions ?

I doubt you'll save a pound if any weight at all with a "standard" synthetic stock. There are two kinds of "light" synthetic stocks. Cheap and flimsy and very expensive.
