any one want to part with old Remington staking tool reasonable.Any one ever use J B Weld to hold shell latch.

I can't help you with the tool, but....
If you're talking an 1100...once the gun is reassembled, the latch will stay in place by itself. A bit tricky but doable.
As far as using a touch of JB Weld to hold it in place, that is not an uncommon "fix".

Oh, one more thing; Be real careful when sticking your fingers inside the receiver because there's some very sharp edges in there.
