I fire-formed some 416 JDJ today and decided to snap a few pictures of the gun:

The lower barrel is in 8mm JDJ.

Left: fire-formed brass, Right: un-formed 416 with a 400 grain Hornady

I know a lot of folks with SSK Contenders, but none that shoot 8mm and 416 JDJ. Just curious....any of you ever work with these rounds?

Did you take the photos before or after fire forming? Your hands seem mighty steady for "after" .

I have not shot any this large, mostly limited to 44 mag, 35 remington and 30 herrets over the years. You have some heavy hitters there.
