I'm nearing 750 rounds now and the slide release has loosened up considerably. I'll run it a thousand before deciding whether to do the work, but I can see now that it is a fairly simple process.

BTW, this is one of the friendlier forums I've been on. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Lefty, if you're still looking for an IWB holster, check out High Noon Holsters. I recently ordered their Split Decision (always in stock) for my SR9c and am happy with it, though it is my first IWB so I have nothing to compare it to yet. They shipped quickly and stand behind their product with a 100% return refund guarantee. I also ordered The Slide OWB from Side Guard Holsters and think it's a great custom piece for the money. They also offer some IWB models.

For those interested in IWB carry, check out the following link.
I purchased one for M&P 40C and it does what the mfgr. says.

They also have it for the Ruger 9C.

The SR9c is a good gun; many good points. However, if you try to rack it with your left hand over the slide, you will rip your palm up. I've done it to mine several times. A learning experience.

I have racked of few SR9c's a few times and my SR9 left hand over slide, and it really didn't bug my hands.
