SR9/SR9c extended thumb safety

Not that I am aware of.What is your complaint on the lever???

It's just too small for me. Actually works fine for me to "safety off" but my thumb won't grab it to "safety on". I have to adjust my grip some to activate the lever to the safe position.

I had an XD with a similarly shaped thumb safety that worked very well. Although the one on the XD was somewhat larger. I think a "smoewhat" larger lever on the SR would be a nice aftermarket upgrade.

I will call this great design by Ruger. If it is easier to take off safe than put on safe, thumbs up.When and if you need to use your firearm, you want the safety off easy.If it is harder to put on safe, you just might remember that it is on safe.

Point taken. I agree safety off is most inportant.

On & off are easy for my "paws" :D
Dont know if it makes a difference or how you shoot but i allways use my left thumb for safty since i use a two hand hold anyway - My strong hand grip never changes 8)

I have thin, but long hands & fingers and I can put it on safe pretty easy. I love how easy I can turn the safety off and still not do it unless I mean to. I don't want to accidentally put the safety on (both defensive or plinking reasons).
