Hey all, first time poster here. What is a good holster for a SR40. I was looking at a Blackhawk hard holster at my local shop but they were out of the ones for the SR40. Not looking for a concealed holster this time but one my wife and I might be able to share. Thanks, Sean

For a full sized SR9 or SR40, or the compact... he'll make anything .... here's a couple Davis Leather thumb break holsters for a SR40c and a SR22.

WAYNO.

Kydex always seems like a great option for the polymer pistols. Like your polymer pistol, they are lightweight, inexpensive (at least compared to comparative quality leather), weather resistant, and durable.

Some of the better kydex options.

Garrett Industries (very cool, leather lined kydex) http://garrettindustries.mybigcommerce.com

These are typically marketed to the "tactical experts", but I've found due to their adjustability, they are great for those new to holstered wear since you get to try so many different ride height, cant, and IWB or OWB carry with just the one holster. It really saves you some money as you figure out what works best for you.

Another thing to consider is one holster may not work for both you and your wife. You may want to check "The Cornered Cat". Here is one article on holster choice, but their are others that may be helpful.
