SR40 and SR9 interchangeable

I have a question. Can the SR40 barrel, slide (w/ striker assembly), recoil spring/guide rod, and magazines work if put on an SR9? I have heard they are the same size all around. I would like to know before I try to sell said pieces and tell someone they are interchangeable.

I think the rail specs aren't the same, think the .40 is wider, won't work with the 9mm frame. I'm another asking "Why?".

My sr9c frame can have an sr40 slide mounted onto it... and can even chamber a round from an sr40 mag. and on top of that, it will even actuate the striker and safety stuffs.

So, it MIGHT work, but I wouldn't.
