I put one in mine last year and overall I like it. It does make take-down and reassembly a little snug, but shooting my buddy's SR22 and then mine back-to-back I could feel a difference. I got mine from a private machinist who I assume was making them on the side. I have no complaints.

After a month and a half of looking, waiting and shopping I finally found an SR22 for my wife. I'd like to pick up a SSGR for hers now too and I want to hear from some of you that have made the switch. Who did you buy yours from and how does it perform? Is take-down and reassembly a little snug or easy as pie?

Thanks ahead of time to those that take the time to reply.

Installed a ss guide rod, and it made disassembly more difficult. Cant seem to get the slide to clear the very back of the barrel. I have to pull up firmly on the rear of the slide to make it clear. I think there is much less flex than in the plastic factory one.
