Single-Sixer
SPF an American Field Series 30/06 Whitworth. Walnut and Blue with the express style stock with black fore end tip, cut checkering, shadow line cheek piece, Whitworth recoil pad, adjustable trigger, and barrel band sling swivels. Rifle has been a good shooter for me. I got this to pair with my 375 the top rifle in the pictures to be my African pair, but they have spent the last couple years in the back of my safe. I recently sold the 375 and a new project has my attention.
I have been unable to obtain the history of ownership of the ’06, but it is in very nice condition. I have put less than 50 rounds through it. I cannot say how many the previous owners might have fired through it, but it doesn’t look like many. I’ve never hunted this rifle. The receiver is marked Mark X. It is not marked Whitworth. The recoil pad is marked Whitworth. The date code 0188, if I read it correctly. Even though they are not in the picture, I’ll include a set of Weaver bases.
