Description
SPF- Alan Harton completely worked over OM 357 mag. This in in MaxP lastest book, on pages 207, centerfold of 208-209 and page 210.
About the only thing Alan didn't work over is the ejector rod spring. Alan's Bill was over $2000 and that didn't include the base gun or the Clements Bisley hammer. $1800 + actual shipping. It has been:
Flat topped and welded up to fit a micro rear sight
4 5/8" barrel w/ Alan's custom front sight- he said the barrel was fine and didn't need to be replaced
Steel old army grip frame that has been welded and extended
Alan made the beautiful English walnut from wood that I provided
No. 5 base pin, button ejector rod and steel ERH
Cylinder has been black powder chamfered and the flutes widened 1st gen colt saa style
Turnbull CCH and Carbona blue and the 3 screw have been nitre blued

If any of you members have ever contemplated a custom revolver but been hesitant to take the plunge, this is the one to get your feet wet with. Alan is not even taking new orders last time I talked to him and the work done to this gun is a perfect example of a custom revolver done by one of the top men in the field. The price is a steal as well when you factor in the price of a nice old model 357 PLUS the fact that David Clements gets around $250 just for that hammer.

Thanks Robb, I hate to sell this one. But there are other ones of my Dad's that I would much rather keep. Example, he had a little Hi Standard 22 auto in his safe. It couldn't be worth more than a couple hundred dollars. Never in a million year would I consider selling that, that's the gun I learned how to shoot on.

Smart move Johnboy. You also saved me from myself in that I almost added to my earlier post "What the heck, I'll Take It!" and I done even shoot or reload 357's!

Thanks, Robb - I hear you! This one 'spoke' to me earlier today - shortly after being posted. I couldn't get it out of my head.
I reload - and have the stuff for .357 - just need to find a modest recipe for hard cast 158's. I don't need a full-throttle .357 experience to enjoy some range time with this one!

It is a beauty. I sure am glad it,s not a .41 cal., I would be really mad cause I missed it. Congrats.
