I had this made years ago by Greg Gutcher at Sullivan's Holster Shop in Tampa. It is made for a 1 1/2" wide belt and is very tight on a belt with any thickness to it. (I wear a Bianchi leather belt with my jeans and it will go on that belt but snugly). As you can see by the condition of the holster it was never carried. It is fully suede lined with a thumb snap over the hammer not over the frame as many do it. Sullivan leather is the finest quality I have ever seen, and this is probably why they were selected to make all the leather for Randall Knives. I paid quite a lot for this custom holster about ten years ago. I shudder to think what it would cost today. Ask any questions and I can take more photos if needed.

Do you know if a short barrel Freedom Arms model 97 will fit in it?

I doubt it. A single six has a much smaller cylinder than that I think. Now, I have another one made for a Vaquero that probably would take the freedom Arms. It is a strong side with strap instead of a thumb break, if you might be interested.
