Speed Six with square butt?

Anybody seen one of these before, or maybe it has the wrong grips on it?

No question he is obviously "mis-representing" what he has, either advertantly or inadvertantly! It has Security/Service-Six grips on it and it also has a 2 3/4" barrel. Way too much for a "regular" Speed-Six in that condition!.................Dick :wink:
 
Also, since that revolver has the warning statement on the barrel it couldn't be any earlier than s/n 153-60425 when this statement was first stamped on the barrel in 1978!
 
I agree. The kiddy caption is on the barrel, and looking at the bottom of the grips, it looks like the butt is inset from the rear. It's interesting that they say it is a second year production model (1973).

It looks kinda, sorta, nice, but not for $588.
