Hello from Oklahoma!
Am a long time member of the other Ruger forum and had no idea this one existed until last week!
I have owned many Ruger guns including a bucket list first gen .308 International manlicher stock. That one will never leave until I do!
So, always interested in all Ruger products. Latest is a .300BO Ranch Rifle that is pretty darn near the perfect idea of what a great truck gun, ranch 4 wheeler, super accurate and inexpensive rifle is supposed to be. By the way, for the .300, the Lancer 10 round mags are best followed close by pmags.

Welcome from Ohio. My family is from SW Oklahoma. Very small town of Arapaho.

Isn't southern Oklahoma just really "Texas"?

Greetings maternal grandmother was Cherokee/Chickasaw from the Muskogee area!

Bight your tongue Bear! I live in a land called Texoma and all Texans and Okies are rightfully scared of people from these parts. The OU Texas football game? People thought about having it here on Lake TextMate and Lake Murray. But some sniveling yuppie commie said we can't be around people like that!
Truthfully, I live in a small town surrounded by small towns, where everyone on the football, basketball, baseball and band new each other. You could not ask for a better place to raise kids or be raised. We ran the streets and the people and police would stop and watch us play all day. I NEVER FEARED ANYONE OR ANY PLACE IN MY TOWN. Really still don't. Great dove and deer hunting, some if the best bass fishing in the country.
It takes us a little while to get new people that move in to belive we are like this but everyone respects and helps at the drop of a dime. If your fixing fence, good chance someone is gonna stop and help. Cattle out? Sherrifs office knows who to call and there neighbors.
Things have changed but not by muck. If you told me I was going to have to pay to hunt on someone's land when I was in high school, I would have laughed and swore you were crazy. Unfortunately it is true now. But I still hunt for free, kill all the deer and dove I will ever use, NEVER WASTED! And now I am getting to retirement age, going to driving those backroads and stopping to talk to people, carry on what should be. How anyone can be born and raised in a city and not lived this kind of life, I really feel sorry for them.

Greetings from Sparks, NV. Watch out for dem tornadoes. Good shootin' to ya!

Not really. Okies drive the speed limit in the left lane of 35. Their football and baseball fields have sticker burrs. :p

Lake Murray has a nice park my parents use and a golf course I use. The Casino in Thackerville is a sight to behold. Think it's the largest casino by square feet in the world? We are almost exactly half way between OKC and DFW so we get the traffic mess going and coming each TX/OU weekend.
