Source to press initials into leather shell carrier etc

Anybody have specific suggestion around CT or generally the type of craftsman that does this work. It's a Galco and I don't want it ruined

IME, it might be a little tough to do successfully on a finished holster, because AFAIK, most leather stamping needs to be done on flat leather, before it's folded/molded/sewn into the holster shape.

(typically, the raw/unfinished leather is slightly moistened & stamped with whatever after the holster pattern is cut out & before any staining/sewing)

not a holster.. it's flat and specifically has a place for the initials, just can't find anyone to do it

have you tried a "trophy engraver"? I have used local shop to laser burn into stocks. I just called and she said she can do leather.

good idea . This is for a friend who has no internet. Some potential sources came up on google too, not that far away.

Not a holster and flat, maybe a brass plaque would be a better option? Just a thought. I also think that tooling finished leather is not a good idea.

Just a thought but what about a shoe repair shop? Maybe a craft store also that may have leatherworking tools.

I would look for a saddlemaker...or maybe you have a Tandy leather shop who can direct you to a leather worker...
