You guys that have the gunsite scout rifles. Where are you getting the 5 shot mags from besides ruger? Want a couple but would like to beat the 65 each price tag. Thanks

The Ruger Scout rifle uses AICS magazines. The ones made by C-Products are currently on sale at Midway for 49.99. The 10 round mags are on sale too.

BTW,

Single frag grenade pouches work well for carrying the GSR 5 round magazines. Haven't heard of, or found, a good carrier for the 10 round magazines yet.

I don't have a rifle yet, but I got 2 of the C products 10 round mags from Midway while they're on sale. They appear to be very well made. I'm thinking 3 would fit in a M-14 pouch quite well. I'll check and see. Bob!

Sorry Joe,

I didn't mean to hijack your thread about the magazines with messages about pouches for the magazines.

Thanks for the info, but darn, $50 still very expensive. I hope I can find something around $30

I have 2 of the 10 round C products mags that I bought from Midway in February. They fit in my GS rifle fine and they are solidly built. They are harder to load than the issue magazine(they have a steel follower, the issue one is polymer) and don't seem to feed as smoothly(easily), but they function 100%. They factory mags are cheaper at the dealer cost level, but there ain't none to be had. Bob! :?
