I,ve been looking for a Mannlicher stock for my 77/22 for awhile. Now I see lipsey is coming out with one in stainless. Now the big question. What is this thing going to cost me in realityville? I know the MSR is nearly $900

I bought a Mannlicher in the spring when I bought my daughter a Deluxe Sporter... I only paid about $325 from my local dealer....
I don't recall who the distributor was...

you sure yours wasn't a 10/22 RSI ?
we're talking about the M77/22 RSI that just came out in Aug

Unless you want a stainless 77/22 instead of just a stock for the one you already have... I'd get somebody like Claude Gatewood to simply make you one. Top drawer work, super nice gent. He built his own duplicator years ago that may be a viable start to save money, but he's a master at just building from scratch and pays attention to detail. Gives you the option of woods... broom stick to exhibition, laminate, etc to have a one of a kind.

Yeah I am an old friend, haven't talked to him in years though. I have 3 exhibition stock blanks I thought about letting him whittle on years ago, never decided for which rigs so never got around to it.

Might be a thought, use one on my mid 80's 77/22 switch barrel. Never even thought about a Mannlicher for it, but even a nice sporter would make it a humdinger. I think this wood would work just fine on one.

Im not for.much for the stocks. As long as it shoots how i want and has a nice appearance i good. I have a red label that has a beautiful stock that i cherish and might shoot the gun every few years. Thats my one nice stocked gun.

If i.could get stocks like that my thoughts my change.... I love that stock... Nice choice
