Sam I don't know the answer, how do you tell. I was told it would shoot regular 9mm

Ray, Unless your Astra 400, 1921 has been modified it is in the 9mm Largo, ( 9mm Bergmann-Baynard ). Your Astra is a true blowback design and is un safe with the pressures of the 9mm Luger . It is safe with standard 38 Auto but not the 38 Super .It should be marked on the bolt body showing in the ejection port.
