I have refinished the stock, removed the white spacers on butt and pistol grip, and filled an improperly drilled hole in the stock where swivel was mounted. Visible but neatly done. Has Bushnell Banner 1.5-4.5x scope in Warne rings on Weaver-style base. $425 shipped. Rifle only, with no scope, rings, or base, $320 shipped.

Yes, it was. Someone before me had used the Marlin bullseye for placing a swivel stud in the buttstock. It's not even the right location for a swivel stud and this practice is a pet peeve of many Marlin lovers. One could get another of the little bullseyes and replace it if desired.
