The rifle is up for sale since I have some VA Disabilities (22 years in the Marines) that prevents me from shooting heavy recoil firearms. I tried to wait a few years before putting it up for sale, but my issues didn't improve. Hope it finds a good home............

Once the barrel was broke in, I was shooting ½ MOA groups @ 200 yards with 168 grain Sierras, and the rifle shot well within my capabilities. Please see the photo that will provide some evidence of my (previous) skill level (some I won at Camp Perry).

DD_USMC, very nice rifle and scope, your price is reasonable. I have the same rifle (1st gen) in .223 and I have won
some "factory rifle" bench rest matches with it because these rifle are wicked good in the accuracy area right out
of the box. Have you had any trigger work done on the rifle? That is about all that mine needed. Plus getting the
tork set right on the action screws each time at around 60 inch lbs. Mine has a Leupold 6X18 parked on top with
a set of lapped rings. Both rings are non-adjustable Leupolds as I don't see a need for an adjustable rear ring
which is just another place to have a problem.

I spent some time at Camp Lejuene, Camp Pendelton, and Vietnam (1970) as a US Navy Corpsman so I am going
to say Semper Fi to you and hope that you can celebrate November 10th with some money from your rifle sale!

I have also shot at Camp Perry a number of times but I do not have the hardware that you do. Most people never wiil.
Can't tell for sure due to the photo size but it looks like you are double distinguished! Must be where you get the
DD in your forum name. Thanks for serving your country, Marine.

EDIT: after re-reading your info I do see that you had the trigger tweaked. I also put bedding compound
down over the bedding block but I just used Acraglas Gel. Since the rifle just has a standard chamber
I also took some of the pressure off of the ejector pin on the bolt face by taking a couple of coils off of
the spring so that it just ejects the brass gently out of the port. I believe that this helps to keep the ejector pin from pusing on the loaded cartridge in the chamber with too much force possibly changing the position of the round a little each time and affecting the entry of the bullet into the throat. Maybe that is just BS but it does drop the empty right where you can find it easily. Cheap and easy to get another spring if it don't work.
