A member here recently read a post about the last gun I received from John Gallagher since he is wrapping up his gunsmithing career due to a tough battle with cancer. He graciously said he would like to help like many of you others have done and he told me he had a NIB Leupold VX-3i 3.5-10x40 scope still in the cellophane he wanted to donate with the proceeds going to John and his wife Beverly. I told him I would post the pictures and handle the sale of the scope then send the money to John and he could then ship the scope to the buyer. I will cover the cost of shiping the scope since he is generous enough to donate the scope.
I just checked Gun Broker and this scope is selling from $399.99 to $509.00 depending on the seller. The scope is a 1' scope, matt finish and it has a duplex reticle. The Leupold part number is 170680 if a peson wants to verify the GB prices. Knowing that this is going to a good cause I will price this at $350 shipped. Just so there is no question, the payment for the scope will be made out in the name of John and Beverly Gallagher.

As a side note, I got a message form John yesterday. A friend of his wanted to see John go hunting one last time so he took him out to his farm and he and another friend helped John get into a stand wiht hopes of John getting one lst chance at a nice deer. Lo and behold, a nice whitetail buck came out and with his friends help, John was able to bag a really nice whitetail at about 55 yards with one of his own revolvers he built years ago and that a friend had returned to his family. %5 yards with open sights on a long cylinder octagon barrel bisley 44 mag! A picture of john is included after the scope.
