These guns in Canada seem to becoming scarce as hens teeth or folks are hanging on tight....

Not to many Smiths here but ive got a few, traded for both of them and will continue to try and trade for decent deals like these were.

First is the 625 Thunder Ranch 45 ACP... ive been wanting 45 ACP sa/da to go along with my convertible.

Second is the 686. Not in perfect shape but an extremely nice shooter with a scuff here and there. Im not real up on my S&W info, but it is a "no dash" gun and has not been modified by the factory to receive the "M" stamp. (from my understanding has something to do with shooting lighter .357s, not sure but mine shoots rather well so not worried about it.

If anybody could tell me what grips originally would come on the 686, no dash, i would love to add them.

Mine came with Walnut Target Grips. I think the early recall was to replace the firing pin bushing. They were oversized which caused the primer to flow into the bushing and possibly lock up the cylinder. After the repair they were stamped with the M. Later production gun were stamped -1, -2 and so on.

I only have 2 S&W revolvers at the moment ,my 1982 6" M 29-2 and my 1986 Factory Costom 3" round butt finger groove grip 657.The M 29 is just something I've wanted since I first saw Dirty Harry ,aside form the fact that there real tack drivers .The 657 is something I've bveen wanting since I first saw them in Guns & Ammo magazine.Here they are .

I have always loved the older S&W's. Especially K frames. Never have cared for Colt DA's.

I am down to just three Smith's at the moment due to finances, but the three are good ones.

My Model 649 with Ahrends Bubinga grips

My Outdoorsman that has been geared up for deer hunting and small game

and my favorite, my Smith 27-2 with 3 1/2 inch barrel that properly motivated could do the jobs of the other two if need be.

earlier this year I dispatched a woodchuck with the little 649, he was a tough old hombre that's for sure.
