So I just joined this forum (maybe an hour ago), and I am already in trouble. I recently acquired a P90. The gun was dirty and needed to be field stripped for cleaning. I thought I was following the correct procedure based on a video and the Ruger manual. When reassembling the pistol, the slide became stuck and will not move back or forward. I'm thinking the ejector is at issue. Any thoughts? I'm totally new to this pistol, but far from being new to handguns. thanks for your help.

Darn fine pistol you bought. Massad Ayoob has some vintage articles out there giving it high praise.

I have a P90 with a slide stuck in the closed position. I haven't fired her in a while and wanted to field strip before taking her out. I pushed down the ejector and proceeded as usual and when trying to bring the slide forward it jammed. I looked in the mag well and noticed the the ejector was back in the upward position. I pulled off the grips to get more access and was unable to bring it back down again. I proceeded and removed the ejector completely, upon inspection its not bent or distressed in anyway. Nevertheless the slide is still jammed closed and after monkeying around all morning decided to reach out to you gentlemen for advice. Thanks in advance

I have a similar problem.

There are a few things in there that can "hang" up. Sounds like you removed the main one. then the swing link on the barrel can bind in the frame cannel at times.

A good tap with a rubber mallet usually helps out.

I've taken P-guns apart a lot over the years and it has happened to me too. Just a rare deal that can happen to anyone.

Thanks. I feel better knowing I'm not the only one.
