Hi Guys,
Picked up a single six a while back and I have had issues with it. It seems to not want to cock back/hammer come back when pulled. It has been stripped down and everything seemed to be good to go.

Here is a video of what it's doing. Thanks for the help!

ROFLMAO! My goodness, how "modern"! Who would'a thunk of such a way to discuss 'smithing.... :D

CLASSIC EXAMPLE of transfer bar hanging up on the firing pin. The base pin/cylinder pin has a spring loaded plunger that pushes the transfer bar out and away from the firing pin as the hammer is cocked. If the base pin is not fully seated or has a missing or damaged plunger then the only way to cock the hammer is to point the muzzle up.

Look close at this image.

See where the top of the transfer bar is really close to the firing pin? The image does not illustrated the base pin's spring and plunger assembly, but it does indeed push the transfer bar back away from the firing pin so the hammer can be fully cocked.

Thats why it is called a "transfer bar", it "transfers the impact of the hammer directly to the end of the firing pin...." as long as its ALL working properly , fine and dandy ,ONE thing out of wack, amiss, and it catches or blocks ANY transfer and will NOT work............cylinder pin MUST be fully seated and in working order (the little spring thingy goes in and out...)
pushes the "bar out of the way of hitting the firing pin from below, and the gun will go "bang" as intended......
