In response to a couple of PM inquiries about my M97, there has been enough interest that while I was going to wait until summer, I thought I better put this out as a post.
I've got an early 2 digit serial 3.5" M97 in .45 colt (with .45 acp cylinder) having adjustable sights that I bought/traded from another forum member year before last for my 7.5 inch. It's got most of the bells and whistles that Freedom offers and was just gone through by their shop foreman last summer when I was passing through on a visit. With the custom options I am into it almost market value. It shoots awesome, and handles quick. I've tossed mostly 270 cast through it at about a 1000 fps, but it can handle just about anything (Ruger loads) that you fit into the cylinders. It does get a bit "sudden" though when shooting the heaviest loads :)
