I recently had to ship my MkIII Target to Ruger for repair and was forced by FedEx to ship it priotity overnight at a cost of $83.00. Now it is repaired and Ruger is sending it back to me by USPS, 2 day shipping.
I was told by FedEx that is was due to the BATF ruling that they did not want guns sitting around shipping terminals where they could be stolen. Ruger says it is because they have a class 3 license and do much more business with FedEx.
So, what is the real reason I have to ship overnight priority and Ruger doesn't?
