Sharp Shinned Hawk

When I was birding last weekend I had a large number of these hawks that kept the small birds in hiding. A beautiful bird but not an asset when watching small birds. :?

Great pic! How big was that guy? Just looking at him, I'd say it was a male Cooper's Hawk, but the pic doesn't have a ruler in it, so I don't have much idea of scale. Sharpshin is a baby cousin of Coopers. And small birds would do well to avoid either!
