I have a ruger tang safety M-77 in 6MM remington. This gun has always worn a redfield 6x18 scope w/accutrac and a canjar set trigger. This gun was always tack driver and got a lot of varmint work. At some point years ago the scope fogged up and was sent back to redfield. Redfield, to their credit, purged and resealed the scope and reset the parallax for two hundred yards, all at no charge. I remounted the scope and attempted to sight in the rifle only to discover that with the adjusments maxed out the rifle now shot about three inches low and an inch left at one hundred yards. I have tried swapping the rings front to back thinking there might be some small difference in height that might help, but to no avail. The gun has now been sitting unused for quite a while as life intervened and my interests changed. I have recently gotten interested in shooting the old girl again so the scope has become an issue. Since redfield has shut down and, re opened for business since the earlier repairs I am unsure if they would undertake repairs under warranty. Now I could call redfield but if anyone here has a suggestion, i.e. adjustable bases or posssibly a new set of rings I would be glad to hear it. Thanx
