Bout 20 years ago, I was deer hunting in northern Missouri when I broke the firing pin on my deer rifle.......right in the middle of their very short season. Ran to the nearest town and found this same rifle in .270 on almost empty shelves of..........Walmart. Bought it with the already mounted scope, took it back up to the deer woods where it put three rounds inside 1 inch at 100 yards directly from the box........and it still shoots like that to this day.
I have a second one in .243 which shoots pretty much the same.
Somebody should really buy this one.................. :?
 
First centerfire rifle I ever bought was a Savage 110 in .30-06 and it remains the most accurate rifle I have.
