Santa Came Early

We have our Christmas get-together with our daughter/son-in-law the Sunday before Christmas so they can enjoy their Christmas morning at home.
Well Santa/son-in-law Greg blew me away when I opened my present and found a Ruger SR1911 inside. What a nice pistol - my first ever 1911. After I find a suitable holster for it, I can see this becoming my new carry pistol.
Thank you Greg - you are definitely in the will now for sure.

Grandson Steven getting a tutorial comparing his Ruger MKII 22/45 to my new SR1911... I told him he could be the 2nd one to shoot it after me.

I guess I'll be checking here as well as the Lounge from now on.

Yep Jim, he made me cry and that doesn't happen often. He's a great guy, I call him son, and we have had our share of "outdoor adventures" over the last 25 years.
