What is the price range for Sambar grips to fit a Ruger Blackhawk? If you can't physically inspect the grips, what should you look for?

I would ask for pretty good pictures and if they cant or wont do that I would ask for some sort of time period to inspect them. I have a small number of stag`s on several guns but I am talking about getting them 30 to 40 years ago so cant guess what they go for now. Were I made to make a wild azz guess I`d say $200 ish. My pet peeve is seeing people going Ga Ga over cheaper elk grips and mistakenly claiming or thinking they are stag.
Here is a few of mine.

Am seeing Sambar on eBay and Gun broker in the range of $350 to $495 and they are not all that great looking. People do buy them, but I wouldn't pay those prices for them. Way too much "pith", the area where blood goes to nourish the antler, and rough on some edges. Have seen some with as much as 30% pith showing on the surface. Have no problem with Elk "stag" but same goes for them about the pith. I have both Sambar and Elk, and have been known to buy either if they are nice even if I don't have any particular Blackhawk in mind to put them on. But I'll find one! :D Almost never see any kind of grips in LGS anymore.

I have bought over a dozen sets of elkhorn from Grashorn ("Executioner"). Don't know his current price. Had them on 1911's, several Blackhawks and Vaqueros, Colt SAA, and others. Have had several sets from bighorn but the supply is limited.

You order them and he will send you a picture for approval. He has done exceptionally well on matched pairs for matching revolvers (My Pythons, SAA's, etc.)

I have always liked the factory grips on my Ruger's. I do understand why people go with aftermarket grips for comfort. Not a fan of oversized grips and I do not mind shooting with the factory grips. All of the sudden I have a strong desire for stag grips? I really like the appearance and would like to give them a try. Purchasing or having a set made for one of my favorite Ruger's would be a nice addition. Thanks for helping me get started on this next step.
