Sage advice........

I frequent the Ruger Blackhawk Owners page on Facebook, and seldom see really good advice. However, this is about the best advice I've seen anywhere:

A gent on that page displayed a photo of a very nice looking pair of walnut grips, Ruger factory issue. His post said he had a Single Six and the grips did not fit, apparently were too long.

The best answer: "Keep buying Rugers until you get one that fits those grips."

Such sound advice is seldom encountered today.

You could buy a LOT of XR3 or XR3-RED guns, before finding one with a Super Blackhawk grip frame installed!
