Ruger's Short Frame .32

One of the best looking revolvers Ruger has ever made. Model SSM - 4FSI, Cal. 32 H & R Mag. New Model Single - Six fixed sights, and short steel grip frame with case color and dark blueing. Also shoots 32 S & W and 32 S & W long . A fun shooting trail , woods gun. Seldom seen for sale.

I don't think the .327 Federal was an improvement. I bet that is a fun shooting gun. Wish I had one. :D :D

Yeah, I have been at a couple of ranges (Viola, Tn.; Fredricksburg, Tx), where certain members blatantly left .32 ammo and guns out to tantalize, and pervert the masses to acceptance of that caliber. I think it was a conspiracy to create a shortage of those guns, creating demand, which would increase the value of their stock. The members will remain nameless! Torture will not unseal my lips Cholo, and 32Mag! :mrgreen:

Was at the LGS one day and they showed me a short barreled 22 rf Birdshead single six. I said if that was in 32 caliber I would buy it. Well, there was one underneath the counter so it went home with me. A real nice, fun shooter.

Yep, a very neat gun Ruger came up with. The 500 each in blue and stainless with the XR3-RED grip frame, although scarcer, just don't have the same great proportion.

Recently found a mate to my .32 in .22 w/Case colored frame, but had to install the short grip for an exact match. It's the top one shown here, before grip change; a Davidson's exclusive but with the XR3-RED grip. You can see the proportion is different, even the NM XR3 grip from the New Vaq and New flat top looks better.

Yep Have had and have a few, they are great guns and real cheap to shoot. Just no interest in them when they were being made. A Buddy and I bought 16 of them at $279 each in 2006 for friends.

The Rainmakers, the 38 Colt was the Lightning and the 41 Colt was the Thunderer
