Ruger Test Factory

Does anyone know if Ruger test fires their firearms for being sighted in? I know they test fire them for function, but what about being on target?

I don`t think they sight them in on purpose,just function/proof test. But all three of my SR 1911`s (1-5" and 2 CMD`s) came sighted right on at 30'. If it`s by chance they do pretty dang good.

Not sure about "new" firearms .... but I sent a SRH 454 in for some major work , cylinder had locked up . When I got it back , it had a receipt with it stating what work had been done along with a target. Target had 3 holes in it ...like about a 3" group if I remember correctly. Nothing else on it , no distance , no other data , just a target. Revolver did work fine after that though.

If it`s by chance they do pretty dang good.

I'd bet that since they turn out thousands, they sighted in a few and then
built an assembly jig to duplicate the positioning. That would save time
and a whole lot of ammunition.

If they sighted my new Mini for "being on target", they musta been using a realy-big target.....and it musta been set perty-dern close. :lol: .
