Picked up a new SR556 at a great deal. Shot approx 40-60 rounds of Wal-Mart Remington .223 out of it, no hiccups.

Ordered 1000 rounds .223 tula russian made 55 gr ammo. New, not reloads. Had 2 fail to fire, many fail to extract ( had to dis assemble and jam it out the barrel). This happend about 5 times. Some of the ammo was fine. So I remember hearing if the ammo is light or the rifle is dirty crank it up to 3. This made it worse.

Going to try some more expensive Wal-Mart ammo and go from there.

Any input? Ideas? My Colt Ar-15 cycled everything!

Many folks have issues with polymer coated steel and aluminum cased Russian ammo. And not just with the Ruger, allot of guns and even Colts have been known to choke on it. Makes sure the chamber is super clean and try again I guess.

For what it's worth, I gave up on that stuff years ago and simply left a few boxes of .45acp sitting at the range. Brass only for me.
