Single-Sixer
I've been away for a while. Thanks for saving me a seat.
I've got a 1979 Speed-Six, blue, with a 4" barrel, original style grips, on layaway at "Ali-Babba's House O Guns" my local gun pusher. Mechanically it's good, but it's been rode hard, and put up wet. Several times it seems. But it was inexpensive, at least compared to other medium frame 357's I've seen recently.
I'm planning of cleaning it up with some Flitz to see just how bad it is under all that dust, rust, and general crud. I might just leave it way it is, it's just an old beater. BUT on the other hand I might decide to have it refinished. Not worried about any 'collector value." It has none as it is.
Anybody had Ruger refinish something like this? Their price listed on their website seems reasonable. How's the turnaround time? Anybody else you'd recommend?
Just checking out options.
