I have a ruger sp101 stainless steel 2.25 inch that I am wanting some ivory grips real or fake doesn't matter. I do not want inserts I want to replace the whole grip if this is possible. I cannot find anything but inserts can some of the experts on here help!! Thanks Jason

There are companys that make a full wood replacement, so looks like it can be done, so why not in fake ivory? (far as I know real ivory can't be had any more legally,) so go with the fake, shouldn't be hard to go on web search and find a grip maker that will do it.

Don't know about ivory (fake or real), but I have seen some from Badger Grips made from Corian for the SP101. They are the same color as ivory, but I just checked the website and they do not show pictures of them anymore. On the first page there is a narrative that says he makes grips out of corian though. I'd call if you are interested.

Real ivory can be had and is out there. To be legal, it had to be imported pre ban and you need paperwork to prove it if you are scared the feds will come after you.

Maybe one of our Ruger Forum member grip makers can accommodate you. American Holly looks like a close fit. Maybe CaryC or PVTSchultz, or someone. I believe Trausch makes a white one also, but they are not wood.

Had Corian counter tops. It chipped and even cracked where the cook top left it narrow. I think one of the ivory polymers might give better service. FWIW, a sample of ONE! jack

How about Ivory colored micarta? I don't think it would chip lime the corian.

Mr. Badger told me last December the Corian grips failed and he quit making them. I really liked the look though.

I never did get a set of the corian, good thing after hearing about it. I liked the look though. Micarta might be the way to go. If anyone finds some micarta be sure to post it.

That's because the owner of Gibson donates to conservatives and the Chicago thug didn't like it. Dont think Barry cares for Nashville he didn't do much for them after the flood.

Trausch has a ivory colored rubber grip. Not sure if it's to your liking, but I like mine. It's the best grip I have had on my SP101, and I have tried, stock, Badgers,(borrowed from a friend) Houge, and Pachmayers.
Best fitting ot my hand, it is about a half inch longer then stock, but to me it actually makes the gun feel slimmer.

I have black Trausch grips on two of my SP-101's; a 2-1/4" .357 and a 3-1/16" .357. I kinda like the looks of the white ones Markallen has on his; I do have another 3-1/16" .357 that is a safe queen that has factory grips. Maybe it needs some white ones.
