Kuna, Idaho - a sparkling jewel in a park-like set
A local gunshow produced my first sighting of the new Ruger Single Ten. The local dealer listed it for $599, but he is always high.

To be honest, it felt like any other Single Six and the cylinder looked a little funny. But that was probably just because it is new.

Looking at completed auctions on Gunbroker shows that recent sales have gone from as low as $446.13 to $500. This is before shipping and transfer fees.

Gun show in FL yesterday dealer had one for $579. Neat little gun but not at that price.

I saw one yesterday at the gun show in Jackson, Ms. If I recall correctly, it was marked $599. Bob! 8)

Shot gun sports in anniston Alabama has two, priced at 479.00 course I had to fondle it. Think I'm gonna hold out for a convertible with 4 5/8 barrel

I'm perfectly happy with six (or 5) rds in my old and new model S6s. Besides here in the PRK, it's probably classified as a high capacity "assault weapon".....

Saw my first one at Gander Mtn. yesterday. Odd, since they haven't gotten the first SR-1911 yet.

The Williams Firesights are easy to see, but have been on the market for at least a year, easy to put on a Single-Six. The front sight looks a little fragile for much holster use, though.

The cylinder looks odd with the notches almost overlapping.

A certain online report made of a point of "the chambers align perfectly with the ejector rod". Nope. Roll it past the click, roll it back on the pawl, the rod hits exactly between the chambers. No worse than unloading a Six, though.

I think ten rounds would just encourage me to waste more ammo. I'll stick with my Six.

But on a New Model Single Six, once you hear or feel the click you are past the chamber you wanted to eject right?

Bought one last Wednesday for $428.

That's about what I'd be looking to pay for one, I like the concept, and so will eventually own one. Reminds me of the days when the Western Auto catalog had all those 9shot High Standards I think?
