Ruger Security Six holster

I posted earlier that I have a Ruger Security Six 4 inch on layaway. Like I usually do I try to get all my accesories ready before I bring the gun home. I couldn't find many holsters listed for the Sec 6 so I did a little searching. I really wanted a kydex holster I have them for several of my plastic guns and I have grown to love them. The only one I found listed was a Safariland that sells forv over $60. I didn't want to spend that much. The other kydex holsters I have are made by Fobus but they don't list one. I went by the pawn shop today and he carries a lot of accesories and I saw a Fobus for a GP100. I figured what the heck it's worth a try. He pulled the Sec 6 out of the back for me and the GP 100 holster fits perfectly. Just an FYI in case anybody else wants a kydex holster for their Security Six.

GP100 is the larger frame, like the Smith L Frame 586/686.

Security/Service/Speed Six use same holster as the K Frame Smiths like Models 10, 15, 66, etc.

A lot of mine have come from eBay. Nice quality used leather ones can be had in the $25.00 range.

I paid 25 for mine with tax. I prefer the kydex I don't know if the leather would work but the kydex is perfect.

I carry mine in a very well worn pancake holster from back in the day and it still serves well and is comfortable, call me old school but that the way I like it, dont even know if they make the old pancake styles. single action
