Ruger Rings 101

Gentlemen is there a sticky or a link to the Ruger Ring explanation on the catalog numbers on all Ruger Rings manufactured for all the various firearms?

when they were first sold on the 'blister' pac, all the models , and types were printed on the back of the package,,,never saw any other "list" anywhere...and you learn over time that the height differences are "equal" and you can mix and match individual rings to make a "set"......the MInis, and some redhawks , early ones, and the MK II Comp., this height was "even" front and rear...the M-77s , and the Super Redhawks, the front ring is higher than the rear one,,, Off-set, in height........class dismissed........

BACK TO CLASS: MAKE SURE YOU "EYEBALL" YOUR TWO RING PIECES IF YOU TAKE THEM APART(WHICH YOU HAVE TO OBVIOUSLY DO..) THEY ARE FINISHED/POLISHED AS A MATCHING SET AND SHOULD BE PLACED TOGETHER IN THAT SAME MATCH WHEN YOU FINISH PLACING YOUR SCOPE IN THEM............SPLITZ

Hawkeye#28, sir I'm very tedious always with my rings as you suggested. Always makes me wonder when I get something second hand

....simple "slash" with a sharpie on one side where they come together keeps things ALL lined up.........thanks for the GOOD reminder 'Splitz'
