Just an observation, usually by the summer months most revolvers are all sold. Now it being almost August,
gun manufacturers are gearing up for hunting season..... rifles and shotguns are the main focus. This is nothing new
but the pandemic only exacerbated the issue.

As I posted earlier I am wanting a Super Bk. I followed your link on to gunbroker and took some of the serial #s , very visible in the photos . I then looked them up on Ruger.com .These are old NIB guns , as far back as 1998 !

This sort of confirms my post about resellers of supposedly “never fired by original owner” collector’s guns or even estate same guns. I think this happens a lot for online auction sites. If buying from GB, check to make sure you can return it if you suspect it has been fired or mishandled. But plenty of guys amass a lot of guns and never fire them, then sell when bored of looking at them or need money. If you get these at the right price, it can be worth the hassle of buying online.

Not directed to you specifically jack black, but to all those that say Ruger isn't building steel guns. Whether you're comfortable enough to buy online or not, the guns are out there. Especially the DAs. These are all NIB revolvers from online retailers. Look at the quantities for some of the listings; some dealers have 3 or 4 of the same model Blackhawks. If there are none at the distributors, it's because these guys already bought them. And then listed them on GB. But the MYTH that Ruger is only building plastic guns and not any of the steel revolvers is false and needs to be put to rest.

What is available in the Vaquero, Blackhawk lines are what is called New Old Stock. Yes there are single actions out there but Not current manufactured Vaqueros or Blackhawks.

Make it sound like 1998 is back in the 'old' days.... Sheesh..... Now if you were talking 1900, or maybe as far back as 1950, then we are getting to where the word 'old' may aptly be applied :) . Ha!

Todays folks weren't buying them either.

Sad as shooting SAs is part of our heritage in my mind. Of course I enjoy learning about that period of our history and shooting the guns of that era ... Black powder or smokeless.

Those are stock photos from Davidson's. Those guns are newly produced. Here is a link from another member. Ruger is making them. You don't have to believe it. I have no vested interest in it, I was merely trying to help folks who were looking for them. The old "Nobody's making anything but plastic fantastic because that's all that's selling." hasn't been true for months. But it's easy to just keep on saying it.
