Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction, would like to find out some information on a few Ruger's I have, specifically a Ruger No.1 in .257 Roberts, an original (60's era) Bearcat and finally a Hawkeye Pistol
All information would be greatly appreciated.

A little more information would help. Serial numbers could tell the year but a $10.00 letter, per item, to Ruger would give a bit more. Go to Ruger.com and you can find were/how to send the letter request.

Yea, I have the form to send to Ruger, was wondering if it is worth the $10 per gun, by that what do you get? you can look up the serial number on line and find out year of manufacture without spending $10.......

I always spend the $10 on OM single actions and Six Series double actions.
Usually get how they were configured, when, and where they were shipped to new.

Many times you get more if the gun is S or U marked or has a D serial number.

Yes, the $10 letter is well worth it as was said. Having it is definitely worth it if you are looking to sell the firearm. Many, if not most Ruger buyers like getting the letter from the previous owner and it can, in many instances, increase the selling price, especially if the gun is old and/or collectible.

By all means,, the RENE is THE resource for great details on most Rugers. Most of us consider it to be invaluable for research.

And the factory letters,, will provide the following;
Date of mfg. (Month & year.)
Date of shipping. (Month & year.)
Correct model info as it was shipped.
The location it was shipped to.
