Sometimes my 20ga doesn't fire. I can hear a click like it tried to fire but it doesn't strike the shell hard enough to leave a mark.
I'm looking for suggestion for a repair shop. My shop doesn't want to work on it as it's "complicated" and parts aren't available.
Any advice is appreciated.

I would remove the Butt Stock. I you are
hesitant to do that yourself, I would find
a friend that could (with the right tools
of course).

With the Butt Stock off you can see what's
going on with the Action. It maybe an easy
fix, like just maybe needs a good cleaning
and lubricating.

The Best to you and your Endeavors.

My guess is the spring has worn out. I sent one of my springs to a company that made up springs and learned that making up a dozen was about the same price as making up one. I had them make up a dozen or so and the total cost was very low. Many years ago and I forget the figure, maybe $70. I sent them more and told them to get coffee and muffins for everyone on me. Gunsmiths who work on trap, skeet and sporting clays guns will know how to pull out a spring, and can probably find a spring maker to duplicate it. Please be sure to let them know this spring is worn and when they make up the new ones, a bit more tension etc.
