The little short section of the foreend rail sits kind of recessed and I was having a hard time mounting a light. I had several of these Streamlight tlr7's and discovered it fit perfectly. Very unobtrusive and 500 lumens. Thought I would share

Very nice. I have a light/laser combo on mine. These are a hoot to shoot. I have a hard time with the factory sights so I just installed a set of Tandemkross fiber optic front and rear sights on it. Hope to get out Monday and sight them in. I have the same model gun as you.
Are you using Ruger or Glock mags?

Glock magpul mags

The Glock mags definitely have more capacity.

I stayed with the Ruger mags because I already had two Security 9 pistols. So, between the three guns I have a dozen mags.
Just the opposite. Bought mine for the wife and she has a G17.

Of course, a light can also be a signpost giving away your location.

With my left hand on the forearm, I can switch it on momentarily or switch it permanently, or I can just leave it off.
Shot the new fiber optics yesterday, what a difference. Quick and accurate.
