Ruger P94DC

Hello,
I have been looking for a P94DC (in 9mm) for some time; now I have the chance to purchase one, like new in the box, for $425 (plus another $25 for shipping). This seems a little high to me...but it is one of the guns I have been looking for a quite a while. Finding any P94 in 9mm seems to be rare anymore. I would appreciate your thoughts and input...especially any of you who have a 9mm P94; how do you like yours?

I have had my P94DC for a few years now and have taken it to the range every week to fire off a box of 9mm. I think it is a great gun and have never had a problem with it. 2000 rounds down range and still going strong.

I do like my P94 in 9MM a lot, but I don't know if I would have purchased it at $450.00. However, I do firmly believe that it is always the buyer's money and his or her decision to make. We all have opinions, but there is a well known saying or two about opinions.

I will say that I was looking for a KP93 and passed on a couple that I felt were priced to high. I finally found one LNIB at a reasonable price. You just never know. Make your decision and don't look back. Happy shooting!

That gun is fairly rare because most, like mine, are .40's. I really like my P944, it's been utterly reliable with no single malfunction of any kind in 12 years or so. I guess I'm lucky because I bought mine new for $349, but that was a long time ago. I've noticed they are fairly steep these days for some reason.

I have a P94 9 mm and love it. It shoots anything I run through it and never misses a beat. I paid $225.00 for it 6 months ago so I would keep looking around and wait until the right deal comes along. There out there but you gotta be patient.

I believe the reason the new P944's are as expensive as they are is the alloy frame. It increases manufacturing cost. I do like my old P944T but I bought it for $335 dollars IIRC at a gun show back in 2000.

I am going to differ slightly with the other replies, I bought my P-94 DC stainless 9MM New in about 1996, I think the reason you don’t find them, the guys that have them keep them, I would hate to guess how many cast and jacketed bullets mine has sent down range, Its not a great CCW weapon, but just plain fun gun to shoot. Accurate, feeds everything I feed it, and well made.

Not to many made and like you said people keep them. I like mine a lot too!
I would pay up to 400 for a nice one.
