I watched 2 ROA's sell this week on Gunbroker. 5 1/2 barrels are going for a grand,, you can buy 2 Black Hawks for that. An unfired 7 1/2 went for 700.00

Had two when I was involved in SASS...they were great, when I was at a stage folk would stand around just to watch the fire and smoke of my full house "smoked" powder (no smokeless here). I didn't win any speed contests but it was a great time. There were times when I was shooting with one revolver in each hand that I did get a bit tired, dem things is HEAVY!
Sold one a few years back for $400 I think...still have one and will never let it go, have the leather too, oh, and a conversion cylinder for conventional 45LC when the mood strikes me. Looks like Pietta is making a copycat version but no one will ever make the beast that Ruger did, unless of course, they resume production!

I was always sort of ho-hum on Old Armies when I was younger, until they came out with the fixed sight versions, especially the 5 1/2" blued one. They must have made those for all of twenty minutes, based on how few of them I've seen in the wild. That's what I get for dragging my feet.
