Ruger New Model 9MM cylinder on Old Model Blackhawk Frame

On another board someone asked this question. IIRC all New Models are built on the Super Blackhawk frame and a new cylinder wouldn't fit on an Old Model Blackhawk Frame. ?

I believe if you have a mastergunsmith and you are putting a new barrel put on it is possible.

No. 357/9mm convertibles are made on both NM midsize and large frames.

Therefore you need to be more specific:

If the 9mm cyl is from a NM mid-size frame (New Vaq/ Flat Top Blackhawk), it can be fitted to an OM 357 (which are all midsize frames).

If the 9mm is from a NM large size (BH/SBH size frame), it's too large to fit.
