Ruger Mini & Shufflin Springfield Armory Mini G

The Thread about Bill Ruger and his guns got me a thinking…
I have always really enjoyed my early 1982 Stainless Mini 14.
Recently built by Tim Shufflin Mini G, built on a 1945 Springfield Armory Garand converted to .308 Winchester.
This gun has scratched my itch for a .30 caliber Mini & 308 SFAR.
it’s a hoot to shoot, has the BM59 Muzzle Brake that works great.
I appreciate good thinking gun minds.

Does anyone remember the X-GI? Saw one at a Shot Show. I think in the early 90s
