Hello, I have a Ruger Mini 14 223 Target with the harmonic dampener I bought new a year or so ago. After playing around with the tuning, I found decent accuracy but after several tight shots I start getting fliers and find that the dampener has loosened no matter how much I tighten it. I thought of "blue Locktite" but wasn't sure if it was a good idea. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks VC

As long as you intend to stay with the same load, then go for it. Just remember... a different bullet weight, or possibly even the same weight from a different manufacturer, will require a different setting.

Read something like this before. Was the only thing that kept me from buying one. Was waiting to see if ruger went to a threaded muzzle brake similar to the browning boss. Locktite may work but use it sparingly in case you want to move it in the future like previously stated.
