Ruger mini 14 purchase?

Looking at purchasing a Ruger mini 14 but not sure if its a good buy. The link below will take you to it. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

That's a nice looking old rifle.
Aftermarket mags do not add value, and at least some of the one's pictured are.

Is the gun with a 5-rd factory mag worth the $500 asking price?....maybe...if you want an older blued Mini-14, and if you want that particular variation, and if it is in excellent mechanical condition, and if you accept the fact that those old Mini's aint scope friendly....and of course, if you want it badly enough,......but that's a lot of "if's".

Me personaly, I'd keep saving my money and buy a new one.

I agree with DGW1949.... for $200 more you can get a newer one with better barrel.... high capacity aftermarket mags may add to the tactic-cool look but not to the worth and will probably contribute to a good bit of frustration.

Get it and put a strut on it . You will I bet have a good dependable rifle . I have 3 of the skinny barrel models. Very good rifles in my opinion. For what its worth.
