While I am assuming so, does anyone know if the "new" Ruger 30 rounder (Product# 90035) work well in older models? I have a liberty model which is obviously 35 years old so I was just wondering before I shelled out the $40 bucks or so.

To my knowledge they should work fine, new Mini's use the same exact magazine as the older ones. YMMV
If you want a cheaper alternative look into these replacement 30rd mags. I have three of them in the 30rd flavor and three more in 20rd variety and they all have worked flawlessly in my yr2000 vintage Mini 14.

I think they are actually made by TripleK, but i could be mistaken. In any case the ones that have the green follower sold by CDNN have worked for me. And they are cheap, so if they dont work out you haven't flushed a full 40$+
Cabelas also has similar ones for about 20$.
